Award for Garden

Jane recently received an award for the second year in a row from the Weston-super-Mare Horticultural Society for her formal garden. The garden was created to Jane's original plan in November 2003, and incorporates many formal features such as beech, box and yew hedging, arches, and symmetrical beds and planting.

This view was taken in June 2005 through a metal arch draped with clematis alpina, honeysuckle, akebia quinata, and rosa ‘New Dawn’, to the summer house at the end of the vista.
The large urn on pedestal lies at the centre point of the garden and this year is home to a cordyline australis ‘Torbay Red’.
